Natural: Our “natural” finish is actually translucent so that the beauty of the wood can be highlighted. The finish protects the wood, gives it extra moisture as well as UV protection. Touch up with this finish is easy and can be managed at home without any problems. Log Kayak Rack uses one coat of Sikkens Cetol SRD Natural for those who choose this finish.

Dark Oak: If you prefer a darker look to your wood, you can choose to finish your small boat rack with Sikkens Cetol SRD Dark Oak. We use one coat for this finish as well and it provides the same UV protection and moisture. With minor touch ups, this finish can also easily last for 25 years or more.

Unfinished option: Another very popular option for our boat racks is to leave them unfinished. This look grays over time but is still just as durable as our finished racks. You can also elect to finish your rack yourself if you choose.
